http://pressreleases.religionnews.com/2013/10/29/puck-goal-catholic-church-common/ATLANTA, Oct. 29, 2013 What could an icy sport like hockey have in common with a hot button religion like Catholicism? In her debut book, THE CATECHISM OF HOCKEY, Alyssa Bormes shows readers that hockey, among many sports, is really a metaphor to understanding and believing what the Catholic Church teaches.
Why does hockey have so many rules? Why do Catholics? Do we still need to have penalty boxes? Why do we have to go to Confession? Cant we get rid of offside? Whats the need for a Sacrament? And why is practice so important?

(58,162 posts)i go to the local ahl games in rockford il. the team is affiliated with the blackhawks. front row seats are cheap and you can watch the action a couple of feet in front of you.big plus is giving the opposing players the finger.
main floor tickets to the blackhawks is more than i make in a couple of months.well i am on social security.
Went to many games at the Garden growing up. Gump was the goalie and we always had seats in the right corner against the glass.
