Obama, Rush & Oprah seen on video with Apocalyptic Ghost Rider in Egypt!

From the video description:

See if you can find Obama, Rush and Oprah on this video with the mysterious Pale Horse Ghost Rider. There is another famous person on another white horse in this video. Do you know who He is?
Do you know His name?
Do you know what his mission is when He rides?
Do you know why He will be appearing?
Do you know what will happen when He shows up?
Are you ready?

Anyone familiar with the Left Behind franchise by Tim LeHaye? The Left Behind series was taught at conservative churches a few years back. Just like Bible study, they had classes.

This video seems to target children and it would confuse and scare them. It seems inane how the pictures merge. It's a political ploy.

Such apocalyptic visions are meant to control believers, get them to waste time micromanaging their own lives to ridiculous levels and have a sense of paranoia so strong they seek to manage the lives of others to save themselves.

Another part is the desire to punish those who are not believers. The pictures of people being terrified are of 'sinners' and believers are told to be happy, because they will pay the price to God for their sins while the Chosen will be raptured away while the Earth is cleansed.

There is a scripture that says to 'not love the world or anything in it.' This may or may not be their excuse for abusing the environment, but I've talked to some and they see all the ecological damage as proof that the Bible is right.

Every story in the news of disasters and things going wrong is adding to their frequent flyer miles to heaven, it seems. Some were gleeful of the BP disaster because prophecy was coming true and their 'salvation is at hand.'

So it's the final way of having vengeance on all the people they think are evil, but their hands won't be dirty, because Jesus is going to do it for them. They don't need to recycle, reduce or anything. I'm not saying all of them, of course not all of any group thinks that way. But some sure do, saying it's a wasted effort as it's all doomed.

They've withdrawn from science, secular society and don't want to pay taxes or be regulated in anyway. They're getting ready for 'the big one.'

JMHO.

Rapture those stupid mother fuckers out of here so the rest of us can live in peace. It would be like heaven on earth.

3. I like your take on why this is so popular in some religious cultures.

One of the amazing things is how vulnerable to scams these people become. My favorite is the service that promises to take care of your pet after the rapture. Apparently dogs and cats won't be going.

4. Dang, they want to leave their beloved pets with the awful unbelievers? That's cruel.

I still see these license plate holders with the motto, 'warning, this vehicle will be unoccupied after the rapture.' The rapture is solely American addition to the Bible, AFAIK.

I think it's part of an escapist culture that you don't have to clean up your own mess. Just like this planet or whoever gets harmed that needs help. If you know some where is all you'll ever have, you'll take care of it better. If the people around are who you count on in bad times, you treat them with more reverence.

The rapture doctrine seems to be an excuse for being selfish and irresponsible, escapism.
