Aren't there an awful lot of little girls with names like Madison and Meredith, both male names? (At least the spate of TIffanys and Kimberlys seems to have abated.) What about all the little Hispanic boys with names like Jose Maria? Anne de Montmorency was Constable of France under Henri II and was indisputably male. There's a long, long history of cross-gender names. Hizzoner is an idiot.
