40 things started, none of them finished. But this really piques my curiosity.

but the take away is that the myth of Jesus' Virgin Birth was neither unique or new to religions from that time or place.
Some Christians argue that the truth of Jesus can be seen on how special he is in World's religions. The truth is the mythology of Jesus was run of the mill.

including the 'facts' about the lives of their teachers/saviors, and Christianity is a good example of that. Christianity used syncretism to gain converts and become the dominant religion in Europe and parts of western Asia. They realized that there were aspects of the various mystery religions and pagan myths that fed a psychological need that people had, possibly a need for explanation about the unknown, and the unknown covered a lot of ground in those days. So early Christians cobbled together elements of these different religions in order to gain converts, and the large number of converts gave them a lot more power, which was eventually put to use by kings and emperors to help control people.

Some people today think that Jesus the person was a complete fiction. I think there was an original teacher about whom the legend of Jesus is based, maybe even a few teachers who were in Palestine around the beginning of the Common Era. Of course I don't believe in the nativity story, and I'm not sure whether there was a crucifixion, although the idea of a teacher making Jewish leaders angry and running afoul of the Romans doesn't seem too farfetched.

or Yeshua. A real person, or people, from which a complete myth grew around. I doubt a single thing in the Gospels is true. I am quite sure none of the "red words", words spoken by Jesus, are accurate. They may relate some of what he preached, but we can't know.

angry in the process seems a reasonable event.

But then power hungry leaders decided to jack up the whole situation for reasons of power and control over the populace. That seems reasonable too.

are a part of the cultural heritage of humanity.

Religious celebrations have been with us since Cro-Magnon first evolved.

I would say Winter Solstice tradition is a part of that cultural heritage, Christmas is just one of many.

You seem to be all over the place. I'm not even sure what you are talking about. Lots of generalities, though.

I was referring to la cultura afropatiana.

Historians and Anthropologists consider it part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

That's why there are efforts to preserve it.
