Publicly funded private schools in Florida teach that dinosaurs were on Noah's Ark

According to the Orlando Sentinel, around 2,000 schools that “accept, and often depend on” nearly $1 billion in state scholarships, or vouchers, are utilizing pseudo-scientific and pseudo-histiorical lessons in textbooks from Christian publishers. As part of their investigation, the Sentinel asked educators from various Florida colleges and school districts to review teaching materials from these publishers and evaluate their educational veracity.

They found numerous instances of distorted history and science lessons that are outside mainstream academics. The books denounce evolution as untrue, for example, and one shows a cartoon of men and dinosaurs together, telling students the biblical Noah likely brought baby dinosaurs onto his ark. The science books, they added, seem to discourage students from doing experiments or even asking questions.

The review found that social studies books published by the Christian companies diminished the horrors of the slave trade and past genocides against Native America people. One section of a textbook reportedly said that “most black and white southerners had long lived together in harmony” before the civil rights movement and that civil rights leaders who were “power hungry” only “stirred up the people.”

Cause if they're using Fed $$$ to offset what they're giving these 2000 schools in State money, then there's a potential avenue to get THIS bullshit shut the hell DOWN.

You know, should Democrats ever have any the power at the Federal Level to do ... well, anything ... again.

and that dinosaurs lived at the same time as people. If Noah had saved a pair of dinosaurs from the flood, wouldn't dinosaurs still be around today?

(Yes, I know. Birds. But if you believe in Noah's Ark you probably don't believe in evolution.)

Genesis 8 : 6-8 After forty days Noah opened a window he had made in the ark and sent out a raven, and it kept flying back and forth until the water had dried up from the earth. Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground.

Today's birds would be descended from the birds that were on the Ark, not from the dinosaurs. So, yeah, where the hell are the dinosaurs?

Maybe God only needed two dinosaurs though, but they got distracted by the unicorns and never made it in time.

called "Defending the Truth with Bob Dutko", pushes the same "baby dinosaur" BS on his show frequently. Claims to use science to back his claims about God, the ark, Evolution, and other Biblical myths.

Message to Bob Dutko and other kool aid drinkers: saying something "probably" happened, based on a 2,000 year old book of fairy tales, ain't good science.

cause I heard,
There were green alligators and long necked geese,
Some humpty-back camels and some chimpanzees,
Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born,
there weren't no Unicorn.
