Religion
Related: About this forumAs an atheist I want to give a shout out to all who support our ideals as a party.
No matter their religions or lack of it. We all debate, question, argue, sometimes insult and even act childish. But we are all Democrats and I am glad for it. Thanks to you all.

(49,533 posts)We all vote Democratic in the end, I hope. So why do some believers threaten those of us who post our unflattering opinions about religion with the idea that they (or other believers) won't vote Democratic if we continue? Are their progressive values not strong enough? Would someone religious really be so upset that an atheist posted something negative on the Internet, that they would sabotage everything by voting for Republicans to "show us"? That seems ridiculous to me - and if someone's commitment to the Democratic platform really is that weak, who knows what else might push them over the edge.
I wish the threats would stop. Nonbelievers have a right to express their opinions too.
