B is for Bible

Here is an ABC book with a religious agenda. While God is not evoked on every page, the author does not shy away from the Holy.



Here's a stretch. X is for the Ten Commandments. I was amused at seeing them in rhyme.





Here the author really stretches it. Z is for Jesus. Actually, it's for the guy in the tree.






Z begins Zeus, a god of great fame.
The author ignored him, ain't that a shame?



And there's the wrap. Telling kids they're all sinners on a Hellbound train unless they get off at the Jesus station.

It suited a market. The alternative would have been banning it, and it was right around the corner from St. Paul's.

I mean, really. "Our father" row? "Pater noster, qui es in coelis sanctificatur nomen tuum" and all that?

We're not looking at separation of church and state, or even the book's use in schools.
