http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/12/23/alleged-victims-pedophile-priests-say-pope-francis-was-made-aware-in-2014.htmlCorradi, 82, and another priest, 55-year-old Horacio Corbacho, were arrested last month along with three employees for the alleged abuse of at least 24 deaf children who attended the Antonio Provolo Institute, in the city of Mendoza.
...
The victims' families contend that the Vatican knew about him since at least 2009, when he was publicly accused of abusing students at the Provolo Institute in Verona, Italy, where he then worked.
They allege nothing was done then nor later in 2014, when they told Pope Francis in a letter that Corradi was living in his native Argentina.

(42,641 posts)Not exactly late breaking news, but apparently this is a very popular topic for some posters in this group. So much so that they are going back months and years to find things to post.

(1,437 posts)To the old post so we can see what your opinion is on it.
Rather than just say "old news" like it isn't relevant anymore.
I hadn't heard of this until I read this thread today. So I'm glad it was posted.
Not even 3 months old. Is that all you got Guillaume?
No comment on the fact that the Pope knew this guy was still out there and did fuck all about it?
The problem is not posting this but spamming and trolling this Group. The OP posted five similar stories in ten minutes. Couldn't possibly be because he despises all things religious.

(1,437 posts)I visit this site sporadically so I don't see every post.
I rarely post either but I don't see the harm in posting similar threads if they aren't repeated.
If someone posts 3 separate pedophile threads, 3 seperate cases, so what.
Posting the same thread that you previously posted instead of bumping the old one is lazy.
Edit..
Not a lot going on in that thread either. .
Kinda hoped Guillaume had offered an opinion on that thread but he didn't. Just said it was old news...
3 month old news..

(42,641 posts)And yes, when one sees a pattern of furious posting of old articles, especially articles that were discussed months ago, a reasonable person might conclude that this pattern is evidence of an agenda.

(42,641 posts)And I have no proof as to why certain posters select certain types of things to post, but when a journal search shows that a poster nearly always posts negative news about a particular group, one might question the motivation.

(42,641 posts)people might assume a certain narrative is being pushed.
Others will insist on coincidence.

(49,533 posts)You're in the RELIGION group. People post news stories and their opinions about religion, whether they be good or bad.
You don't get to control that.
And it is deplorable to try and dismiss other viewpoints (by employing that fallacy) simply because you don't like them.
