In a new nasheed video purportedly released by the Islamic State titled The Kurds Between Tawhid and Atheism, ISIS militants take political aim at the Kurdish people and the PKK. The title refers to tawhid, an important concept in Islamism. Tawhid means the belief that Allah is indivisible and thus worship of him is monotheistic.
The video was released on ISIS terrorist channels on August 3 from the media office of Wilayat Raqqa, the location of the terrorist capital of ISIS.
A nasheed is a form of Islamic chant music that references Islamic beliefs, history, current events, and religion.
ISIS has previously released nasheeds before, most recently with one celebrating the Magnanville attacker Larossi Abballa and the Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Watch that here.
