Christians are more moral than God. So why worship him?

Christians are more moral than God. So why worship him?

The Bible contains many instances that show God doing things that no moral human would do. Not even the most right wing loony. For instance.

If you had God’s power, you would not use Genocide against man and beast on the earth. Jesus said he came to cure those in need, not kill them, so you would cure those in Noah’s day and would not kill them all.

In Egypt, you would not harden Pharaoh’s heart but would leave it soft and let him let the Jews go. You would not punish the first born for what their parents did. If anything, you would punish the guilty and not the innocent.

To the many other instances where God ordered massacres of babies, you would not as your better morals would make you care or cure and not kill.

I have been speaking to many Christians and Muslims over the last few years and have noted that many grudgingly agree that God is rather barbaric and immoral but that they forgive him for all his less savory decisions and usually say they do so because God can do whatever he likes to us because he created us.

Christians and Muslim thus recognize their better morals. That being the case, why have you Christians and Muslims chosen to follow a God whose morals are inferior to your own?

Religions are supposed to be all about morals yet you seem to ignore that yours are better than the God’s that you follow.

Why do you follow a God whose morals are lower than your own?

Not a novel observation from me, but has often been mused upon by many, gawd seems made in man's image, not vice-versa.

...happening to people with the concept of God being a loving parent. Why would a loving parent subject anyone to a fatal illness or injury. I have a cousin who recovered from liver cancer, who credits God for his recovery. I so wanted to ask him why God gave him cancer in the first place. I also think that to attribute everything to "god's will" is a way to weasel out of being responsible for one's own actions and choices.

Interesting. I typed God in all lower case letters, and it auto-corrected to an upper case G. Hmmmm.

that psychology to thank God after he give us evil relates to the mentality shown in this clip. Even after finding God guilty, they still pray on the way to the ovens and continue after they are freed.

Jews doing this is understandable as they have always stove both for and against God as we all should but to them, God is a man the way Gnostic Christians also think. You have to remember the Jewish Divine Council and the fact that a Rabbi can overrule the words of their written traditions.

Christians foolishly do not follow that thinking and they end idol worshiping an imaginary guy in the sky.

Complex Theology!!!! Theodicy!!! Pulling things out of my ahem...

Trying to pin down why certain deities allowed evil into the world does bring about a certain quietness in the area.

makes right.

Christians will sell their soul to Satan if they think his miracles more powerful than God's.

They have been made so insecure by their lying priests that it is a short leap from following their genocidal son murdering God to a Satan.

seen this quote?

Job 2;3 And the LORD said unto Satan: 'Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a whole-hearted and an upright man, one that feareth God, and shunneth evil? and he still holdeth fast his integrity, although thou didst move Me against him, to destroy him without cause.'

Satan moving God to do evil and sin is the way I read this passage.
