The Bible supports abortion

It's true. The topic of abortion appears exactly once in the Bible, in Numbers, chapter 5, verses 19-28.

A man thinks his wife committed adultery so he brings her to a priest. The priest makes her swallow 'the water of bitterness' (in some versions it's 'the bitter water that brings the curse' i.e. menstrual cycle) and says a prayer over her. If she's guilty of adultery, she'll have 'untimely birth and miscarriage'.

The water of bitterness is clearly an abortifacient --so how can 'religious' companies claim that god is against abortifacients?

It is a bunch of nonsense fairy tales from a long gone era of human society. Religious authority figures and powerful institutions use it to justify whatever agenda they wish to pursue.

Anything divinely inspired should be clear to anyone who reads it. The fact that the verses are open to 'spin' shows the bible is not divinely inspired but a creation of man.

so if you don't abort, god is pretty ok with doing it after the fact.

I've shown those verses to religious people -- the ones calling for children's heads to be dashed on rocks -- and they're always appalled. You'd think someone so bent on thumping the bible would know what's in it.
