but this is just not cool. Regardless of the backstory (if any), he wanted to prevent the medical team from rendering aid when one of his players was down and the referee was waving for medical help. Terrible judgment.

In a strictly football sense, there's no better manager active today. But in most every other sense, the guy's a trainwreck. This terrible sequence of decisions smacks of really bad priorities. The stricter rules regarding player safety are one of the best things that's happened in the sport in years, and placing victory above the well-being of your players is unacceptable.

Besides, they weren't going to win that one, anyway. They were being outplayed on the pitch.
