Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten (PC-Steam)
Tower defense + RPG + grinding characters = love.
Defender's Quest is a tower defense game that uses characters as towers. There are six classes, and you can have six characters of each class, for a total of 36 characters. Each character has a little skill tree, and can be equipped with various weapons and armor that you will either buy in a store, or be rewarded with for a perfect level.
There are tons of levels, and some unlockable challenges.
It is normally $14.99, but is currently on sale for $5.10. I highly suggest downloading the free demo and checking it out if you like tower defense games. If you suck at TD games, you will be good at this one if you just grind your characters.
