Report: Browns players yelled 'come get me' at Cardinals sideline after loss

The Cleveland Browns appear to be in full-scale meltdown mode after Sunday’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

According to Mike Silver of NFL.com, “multiple” Browns players yelled “come get me” to the Cardinals sideline, essentially inviting Arizona to acquire them from the Browns. One of those players was Jarvis Landry, who had a sideline confrontation with coach Freddie Kitchens during the game itself.

It won’t be lost on anyone that “come get me” echoes what Odell Beckham reportedly told various opponents back in October. That’s probably not lost on the players involved here, either. It also won’t be lost on them that the Cardinals have a worse record than the Browns, but perhaps these players believe Arizona has a brighter future.

Basically, Cleveland’s season has turned into a nightmare. The team hasn’t won and the players appear fed up. Despite this, the Browns reportedly want Kitchens to stay long-term, but if he’s facing a full-scale player revolt, that might force the team to change their minds.

IIRC, the Cardinals were 4-9-1 after that game, having won their first game in the last seven. RockRaven Dec 2019 #1

while the Browns were 6-8, having lost only 2 of the last 6.

Yikes. Browns gonna Brown.

Could not happen to a nicer owner, though... except maybe Tug-job Kraft... or Trump's BJ-man Johnson... or Rootin' Tootin' Oil-driller Jerry... or... oh, what heck am I doing?

Let's go with this: All else aside, fuck all of the NFL owners.

Yup, that's much more verbally parsimonious.

BEREA, Ohio — Yes, Jarvis Landry was peeved at the end of Sunday’s humiliating 38-24 beatdown by the Cardinals, and yelled at coach Freddie Kitchens.

But mad enough to ask the Cardinals to “come get me’’ at the end of the game as two sources told Michael Silver of NFL Network?

Landry says hell to the no.

“Yeah, I would never say nothing like that,’’ Landry said with a stern face. “And I don’t even want to talk about it.’’

If not Landry, who? Just what is the story, aside from "Kitchens must go"?

Beckham, Landry, the Dallas reciever that came from Oakland are going to be high targets to acquire. The Patriots know Landry and he has played well against them, being on a team with a winning mindset could be just what he needs, and he would come a lot cheaper than Beckham. The Dallas reciever is likely to be out of range on price given the season he is having. My guess is the Patriots figure out a way to bring Landry back to the AFC East and he will play well enough for them to free up the dangerous Edelman from double coverage and give the Patriots other receivers space to operate. If the Patriots somehow overcome longer odds and win a seventh Super Bowl this season, acquiring a still somewhat young player like Landry can give them a legitimate shot at three more Super Bowl, assuming Brady resigns at the chance to retire with ten Super Bowl wins and a legend that likely will never be exceeded.
