Turkey Vultures can be found everywhere. But a Great Horned Owl outside of your window is a special sight.

One of the great surprises in moving here is the shocking amount of wildlife. The first wild Bald Eagles I ever saw in my life were in Indiana.


In fact I had a "streak" going where I would see them yearly on the hwy on my way to work. (A 5 year streak that was broken this past year).


Believe it or not, we also have Snowy Owls. In fact the Indianapolis Star did a story on it not to long ago.

The only wild life I ever saw in Indiana was a redneck party in south east Indiana.

I get a Cooper's Hawk every now and then. It has displaced the Red Tail.
