Question for birders who know their herons....

The one in the 7th picture down (link above) - looks like a Reddish Egret, but that would surprise me for coastal NC - seems too dark for a Great Blue, unless that is an immature - one next to it is a Tricolor. Thoughts?

22-30 inches for tricolor, 24 inches for little blue - so they could end up the same size. interesting the impact when you see some of them in proximity for the first time!
