and finally left a few days ago, now that we are back in the 70s and 80s.

Leaving when they did, they avoided hurricanes Laura and Sally. It might have to do with a lot more than temp.

Metabolism down in order to survive. Watched over the years how they perch on a branch and the first sun light of the morning warms their body and their metabolism kicks in and hit the feeders and away they go.
