Green parakeets all over Scotland

Not the budgie-type, which Americans call parakeets. More like a small parrot.

4. Some friends of mine used to raise peach-faced lovebirds. Lovely little beings. Very smart and

affectionate. They always remind me of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" though. That's where I first saw them.

3. lots of parakeets. it denotes a long tail.

those are alexandrines of some type. there are other feral populations.
