Sign of spring: Four eggs in the peregrine falcon box in South Bend

SOUTH BEND — As of Saturday afternoon, there are four eggs in the peregrine falcon box atop the County-City Building in downtown South Bend.

The parent birds are sitting on the nest. It typically takes about a month before falcon chicks hatch.

In 2018, four baby falcons hatched in the nest.

The public can watch the nest live at: falcam.southbendin.gov.
