The whole city is angry that we've missed the playoffs 3 years straight.

I've lived here 20 years, The Redbirds have 4 NL Pennants 2 World Series Pennants and have made the playoffs 15 times in those years.

Folks still bitching tho...

We (Baseball fans nation wide) all say that we just want a contending team -And that's true.

But when other cities say that they mean "Relevant in September and in striking range of the Playoffs"

We mean "win a couple in the League Championship series AT LEAST!!!"

Don't even get me started on the "Best Fans In Baseball" bullshit - let's just say that the yahoos who buy into that nonsense are the swamps monsters that spawned the "Get a brain morans" redneck
