Best tweets about Cano's Home Run Derby effort

I don't even know if this made national news, but in Kansas City, the mass booing of Robinson Cano at the Home Run Derby last night was apparently the most important thing to happen in years.

I thought some of these tweets were pretty funny.

Robinson Cano now has a new way to spell his name according to Twitter: R0bins0n Can0. Royals fans and other national spectators took to Twitter to tweet their thoughts on “Can0’s” rough night in the Home Run Derby at Kauffman Stadium. Here are some of the funniest and most notable from Monday night after fans at The K booed Cano, who didn't hit even one home run. The tweets:

@PeteAbe (Pete Abraham): Ivan Drago didn’t get booed this much when he killed Apollo Creed.

@JustinVerlander (Justin Verlander, Tigers starting pitcher): Longest boo I have ever heard - by far - for @RobinsonCano

@cgrand14 (Curtis Granderson, New York Yankees centerfielder): that was the most interesting reaction to a home run derby I’ve ever seen, but the fans were excited which is all that counts

@boxcar_fritz (Alex Fritz): How uncouth of #Royals fans to boo Cano. At the All-Star game in St. Louis, the only person #stlcards booed was THE PRESIDENT.

@ICT_Hawk (Chase Roberts): Looks Like Robinson Cano didn’t have his #countrybreakfast this morning.
