Score tied at 2, Double over-time...and my niece took a header into the boards.

The Wolves lost in the USA Hockey Championships and my niece spent the afternoon in Parkland. Happy to say that what looked very scary in the beginning (the sound of her head hitting the boards was like a gunshot) ended up being a closed head injury. We were worried about a spinal cord injury. Thank you everyone who recc'd my post about her. This kid, and her team mates are amazing!

***Also, Parkland Memorial does not seem to have been updated all that much since 1963.

In the ensuing melee', the refs/coaches/other players (except for one of her team mates) did not notice her laying there. She just received another clear CT and C-spine from her own doctor. This aunt is breathing a HUGE sigh of relief.
