bummed because Roger's out, but happy for Andy as well. I've never been a fan of his but he's always had a hard time against Roger so it's nice to see him win one when everyone least expects it.

Roger looked out of it...all Andy did was extend his eventual loss to the next round...I'm done with Miami.

I didn't want to be a bad sport but I haven't watched at all today. I don't think I'm going to take Roger's inevitable retirement very well.

I searched some youtube stuff on Chrissie and one match I found was here in 1988 beating Martina 6-0 6-4 when Chrissie was 33...like Roger, she still had it, but the psychological lapses were increasing and there wasn't much to be done about that.

but I still liked how she went out. She had won the French, lost at Wimbledon, and decided that was enough. Retired at age 30, #3 in the world. Roger hasn't had the injuries but you can see the mental lapses for sure. He's done so much and at some point you must simply get bored with it.

When you're younger you're focused on only one thing...tennis...as you get older you have more responsibilities, you ahve seen and done more...it's the aging process that happens to everyone, not just athletes.

Like I said, Andy only got his eventual drubbing a round later this time...it wasn't even close...what a putz.

....... one good match, followed by a flameout. He can't play well through an entire tournament. That second set against Monaco was one of the more pathetic spectacles I've watched this year.

I think this is the first time Caroline has beaten Serena, so congrats to her...I'm actually surprised she did...she seems to be playing well again in this tournament, but the whole year thus far she was on a downward spiral I didn't think she'd recover from.

Rafroid pulled out of his match with Murray...you know, Murray might just beat Djoker Sunday...I am assuming Djoker beats Juan Monaco, and I think that's a safe assumption...you never know which Murray might show up, though.

Looks like a sort of downturn on the men's side until May and Madrid...the women have the Family Cup which has been around forever.
