Matt Flynn agrees with Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms on a contract with former Packers quarterback Matt Flynn, the team announced Sunday.

The contract is for three years and $26 million with $10 million guaranteed, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Flynn agreed to a deal with Seattle after visiting both the Seahawks and the Miami Dolphins over the past week.

By choosing Seattle, Flynn also spurned his former offensive coordinator in Green Bay, Joe Philbin, who is now the Dolphins' head coach.

The guy's career is over, and while he won't be Favor-bad, he won't bring any team to the Promised Land and then their search starts again in two years.

2. And just like that, Colt McCoy becomes the Browns' darling once again

"They (The Browns) agreed Colt McCoy has a chance to "be really good." "It's a little bit unfair to write [McCoy and Seneca Wallace] off right now," said Mike Holmgren. "I'm not willing to do that."

Except that (Tom) Holmgren (Browns President) and Tom Heckert (GM) were willing to write McCoy off with the acquisition of Griffin III and, Holmgren at least, seemed peeved that the Rams and Redskins used friendship to seal the deal. That's his version. Another is that they were asked to submit their best offer, along with Washington, and that Washington's was better. The Browns then tried to improve theirs and were told the auction was over.

That aside, if you truly believe McCoy can be 'really good,' why mortgage three first-rounders on finding a replacement?" -- Bud Shaw, The Plain Dealer

Browns might have a chance with Hasselbeck should Manning sign with Tennessee, but he's hardly the long-term answer. Looks like another long season in Cleveland.

and Matt Flynn proved it, we should be okay.

I'll miss him too but I hope he kicks some butt to prove it wasn't the system.
