Jeremy Shockey wants to return to the Giants

Shockey was the Giants’ first-round draft pick in 2002 and had a solid six-season stay with the team, but he grew increasingly unhappy and was traded to the Saints in 2008, played three years there and then played for the Panthers last year. It’s not clear whether hard feelings remain with Giants General Manager Jerry Reese or coach Tom Coughlin, but Shockey would like to return.

UPDATE: Mike Garafolo of the Star-Ledger reports that the Giants aren’t interested, even though Shockey is willing to sign for the veteran minimum salary.
