I'm certainly no LSU corndog fan, but what they accomplished and who they beat on the way to a 15-0 season is amazing. In 64 years of watching college football I've never seen an offense quite that explosive or a QB so accurate that he had a record 60 touchdown passes along with an adjusted completion percentage (intentional throwaways/drops removed) of 82.5 percent against Top 10 BCS competition. They played and beat 7 teams that were ranked in the Top 10 on the day they played them. They had almost 700 yards against Oklahoma and 600 against Clemson in the playoff games.
The Top 10 teams on the day they played them included Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Texas. They also beat bowl teams Georgia Southern, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, and Utah State.
