Plus eight doubles and two triples, with 26 RBI's to boot. He's batting a respectable .259

Yaz had some tough at-bats leading up to that walk-off too. Not easy to keep one’s poise.

He's, like, the fourth call-up that has been performing above and beyond expectations.

I was disappointed when Bochie pulled him and put in Sandavol, but Bochie has his game plan. And never mind that plan, what with a depleted bench, was going to blow up in his face if Mike Yastrzemski didn't deliver.

and my Magic 8-Ball says the Dodgers are going to implode real soon.

I love it when a plan comes together.

but I don't see the Dodgers faltering real soon. They're too deep and too good.

And the Giants' are not going to challenge L.A. anytime soon either. Belt, Crawford and Longoria are serious underachievers at the plate compared to Muncy, Seager and Turner. They're signed for a few more years.

Belt is under contract through 2021 and can control trades to ten teams -- but who would want him at $16M a year? Crawford? Signed through 2021 at $15M, full no-trade protection. Longoria? Signed through 2022 at $18.5 to $19.5. Maybe they seemed like necessary deals at the time, especially since the Farm was so thin, but now they look like big blunders. Great guys, great defensive players -- but they're not driving in runs.

I agree a plan is coming togther, but it's still a few years away from threatening L.A. IMHO.

Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

here's something righteous and positive:

The U.S.A. will elect a new president in 2020.

Yes, it will happen!
