Not one thread about the Warriors?

Without their best starter in the series, and possibly their best reserve (in Game Four), they still swept Portland.

I give Golden State a ton of credit -- the bench played awesome. But the Trail Blazers looked like they were rushing most of their fourth quarter attempts too. Not just in Game Four, but Games Two and Three as well.

Hopefully Durant and Iguodala will be ready for the finals.

Am I missing CBoy4 and Upton?

Naaahhhh ...

I'm rooting for the Raptors because of America first and all that. I hope to see a Raptors vs Warriors series.

I’m sure you’ve heard this but a young MC Hammer was Finley’s clubhouse spy (and the players knew it) while Tom Hanks was selling cokes and popcorn in the upper decks.

"Clubhouse spy" -- how Finley-like.

Jon Miller got his big league start with the A's as well.

From Wiki:

At age 20, Miller joined KFTY-TV in Santa Rosa to work as their sports director. During this period, he would sit in the press box at Candlestick Park and record play-by-play of an entire game on his tape recorder. Miller submitted one of these tapes to broadcaster Monte Moore, who helped Miller get his first baseball play-by play job in 1974, calling that year's World Series champion Oakland Athletics. Miller was dismissed by the Athletics following the 1974 season.

Miller was only 23 years old whne he got the A's gig!

My brothers were born on the O-Town border w/Berkeley, my Dad went to Castlemont, was an Oakland Teamster, and started attending Raider games back at Frank Yuell Field.

And I've been to 100's of Raiders, Warriors, and A's games, plus tons of concerts at the Stadium and Arena ... dating back to 1975.

This year is the end of an Era, with the Dubs and Raiders playing their last seasons at OACC ... I REALLY want all three teams to win Championships for the 2019 season ... obviously the Warriors have by far the best shot

As at OACC too. Lived in north Oakland on 49th Street off Telegraph before I moved to Berkeley, Bancroft Way and Grant by Berkeley High.

I live in Vegas now but really want the Raiders to stay in Oakland where they were born. It's a tough town and the Raiders are a tough team, at least they used to be in the days of Tatum and Davidson, the Mad Stork and all of them.

Anyway, just reminiscing.

We were at the Raiders/49'ers game at Stanford that one year they did it while Raiders were still in LA, and we were at the very first home pre-season game vs. the Rams in 1995 back at OACC, and went to most of the home games from 1995-2003 seasons.

I understand why it didn't work out in Oakland so I'm not too pissed at anyone, but ... it's a bummer. Big part of my youth kinda ripped away. But I guess I went through it once before, so ...

That land the OACC is sitting on has got to be incredibly valuable, I anticipate the A's moving soon as well, and the whole complex being turned into high-rise apartments, or maybe a major tech company's campus. That will be a REALLY sad day when the place gets razed, but I think it's just a matter of time.

Peace!

I think either of the East teams can give them a challenge especially Kawhi Leonard since he is more of a complete player than Giannis.

on how to defend Yannis. They've shown that since he doesn't have a jump shot he's sort of a, sorry to say Bucks fans, a one-trick pony. He drives the lane but if you put up a defensive wall when he gets the ball he can be stopped.

The Celtics did it to him in the first game of their series but inexplicably did repeat it. The Raptors were watching and adapted the tactic and have used it effectively—plus they put the great defensive player, Leonard, on him. I expect the Warriors will use Igoudala and Green on him and will handily defeat the Bucks if they get past the Raptors.

IMO the Warriors/Rockets series was the real final. The Rockets IMO are the second best team. They just can't beat the Warriors.

Too bad, so sad. If ya haven't guessed, I'm a Warrior fan.

And Mark Jackson, who told everyone that the Splash Brothers were the best shooting backcourt ever, should get another coaching job.

For some reason having Trevor Ariza clicked but losing him (who ended up being terrible anyway -- Sun's fan here) and adding Melo and this season they weren't quite the same team.

Cleveland for 2 seasons were the team that kept Toronto out of the finals plus they fired their coach who folded in the playoffs while replacing Demar Derozan with Kawhi Leonard & Danny Green. Also replacing (not gonna try to spell his name) for Marc Gasol. The Raptors have a good bench too. I watched a lot of Raptors games last couple seasons because they come on early 4pm or 5pm AZ time through NBA league pass.

They also have one hell of a home court advantage with courtside celebrities.

He must be due. The dirtiest player in the NBA.

I'm rooting for the former Spurs, Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green. Go Raptors!
