Marshaw Lynch could become an Oakland Raider

Whoops, I mean a Las Vegas Raider!

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Retired Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, who is reportedly entertaining thoughts of a comeback, is visiting his hometown Oakland Raiders on Wednesday, and an NFL source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that a deal between the Raiders and Lynch "eventually will happen."

Former NFL punter Pat McAfee first reported the meeting for Barstool Sports while other reports said the Seahawks, who still retain Lynch's rights, have granted permission for the visit.

Lynch, who last played in 2015, turns 31 on April 22. He has rushed for 9,112 yards and 74 touchdowns in nine NFL seasons, though injury limited him to seven games in 2015, when he averaged 3.8 yards per carry.

He was having back problems when he retired.

I mean look at Earl Campbell who's style was similar to Lynch. He uses a walker to get around now.

He was unproductive two years ago. This is a PR move by Raiders to bring in a local hero to take a little heat off the move to Vegas.

were his hometown team, and I know that Bowlcut is probably doing this as a PR stunt to appease us, but I still don't see the point in ML agreeing to come here since this team is trying to bounce in a few years. Even if he does come here, it won't work with me, and it probably won't work with many other Oaklanders.

He had a whole year off so he's fresh & healthy but in any case I think he will be a very good short-yardage or goalline back. All I know as a Cardinals fan I'm glad they don't have to play against him anymore (unless they meet in the SB within the next 3 years.
