...... to Jeremy Lin. He was grasping, stumbling as he was posing the question, but he persisted with it anyway. It was rather awkward to watch.

Lin in mho is still a bit unproven.

He may even out and become a Steve Nash type of player which is great---or he may not---who knows yet?

and he is far better than I thought and he was putting up MVP-like numbers. It is different watching a game than looking at a box score, he can play and not just the scoring and assists(notice he did this against one of the league's better defenses), he has great instincts even on defense. This isn't a fluke.

He is already a better distributor than Nash was at this point in their careers, maybe a better shooter but need more games to compare. I've seen Nash play when he got his start with the Suns. He did play behind Kevin Johnson and Jason Kidd but there was little in his game that indicated that he is future MVP and one of the best PGs of all time. When he was traded to Dallas, I was hardly upset. The fact that he became the player he is today is shocking to me. The point with that is as a PG which is the most difficult position to play, he already is at a great start in getting teammates involved and doesn't have very far to go to catch Nash in that department if he improves. He will probably never match Nash as a shooter--who is a terrific shooter. Though Nash wasn't so great in his first few years in the league.

You're absolutely right that more time is needed before declaring he is this or that. He does have things he needs to work on like cutting back on the turnovers like any player in their second year in the NBA. He is off to a great start and nowhere to go but up.
