RIP Yordano Ventura

The Royals' 25-year-old pitcher perishes in a car crash in the Dominican Republic.

Ventura spent four seasons with the Royals as a starting pitcher, going 38-31 in his career with a 3.89 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 470 strikeouts. He also started nine games in the postseason for the Royals between 2014 and 2015, which included the team's World Series championship in 2015.

He was a major reason the Royals won the WS in 2015. He will definitely be missed. R.I.P.

him as a player, but this is indeed sad. He didn't get a chance to live out his best years or finish his career.
