(29,322 posts)I remember Danny Kanell, he came in for the Giants in the late 90s and sparked a run for him. Also in 2003, Denver's starting and backup qb was injured so he filled in for a Monday Night game against the Patriots, Denver nearly won but Belichick made one of the most brilliant decisions ever, instead of punting giving Denver great field position intentionally gave up a safety in a tie game knowing that Denver's offense couldn't move stopped them and kicked a game winning FG.
I wonder why fired coaches and third string QBs are routinely hired by ESPN as analysts. Even the analysts for their college football coverage were successful in college, don't understand how the lesser Hasselbeck, Kanell, or Sean Salisbury find work. Couldn't stand Salisbury myself.
