Plan to move Colorado Springs Sky Sox to San Antonio may be striking out
Team owner Dave Elmore may need to find another home besides San Antonio for his Triple-A Colorado Springs Sky Sox baseball franchise.
His plan to move the Pacific Coast League team to the Texas city in 2019 hinges on San Antonios ability to deliver a new downtown ballpark, but backers of such a move may have a tough time finding the funding support needed to develop a new stadium.
At least one San Antonio City Hall leader said its time to put an end to the ballpark chatter.
How much more tax money needs to be wasted for the mayor to acknowledge what a majority of this community has already figured out that this is a bad deal? City Councilman Ron Nirenberg told me....

Good. I know Security Service Field sucks, but it is close to Denver. When the Rockies' AAA team was there it was great to see the prospects and rehabbers.
