Related: About this forumI can't get ESPN 3 on my new Samsung Smart Teevee!
I'll have to watch TCU vs. Gonzaga on my small screen computer.
I called Samsung and some foreign support center said that Samsung no longer supports Adobe Flash - only HTML5. And ESPN 3 (WatchESPN) is Flash.
I can't find an app for the TV or Comcast/Xfinity. Can any of you smart young computer/smart TV geeks help me?

(4,288 posts)I think Roku and Apple TV support Watch ESPN. I have an old laptop with my LG Smart tv and have a remote mouse keyboard combo. It works great
You might look at a low end laptop or Winbook. Some those are darned cheap. . I have a Samsung TV as my main TV. I have always found the apps a bit klunky. Netflix works OK on both.

(20,365 posts)But I got a Samsung because of an agreement with Comcast in the works. I'm not sure how that will turn out. I also bought a remote keyboard/mouse and works pretty good. But the Samsung browser is rather poor. It won't even let me import my Firefox bookmarks. There are lots of apps with the TV and Comcast, but not any that have ESPN 3 - I think. There is some kind of Apple app. I'll check it out. Thanks.

The Samsung browser is truly lousy and there is no apparent way to up grade it to something more powerful. Bummer.

(20,365 posts)I have never looked at that option with Firefox. Thanks.

(36,478 posts)I'm a Firefox person, and perfer to use that browser on all the computers, but the laptop also has Chrome installed, and that's the system that performs the magic.

(20,365 posts)It doesn't work with Windows, but it works with Windows Chrome and my wife's Samsung Android tablet.
Watch ESPN is pretty jumpy on either. I don't know how to control the internet speed. It seems to be automatic. I guess my connection and/or modem wifi isn't the greatest.
The Android has a Watch ESPN app. It is easier to use than the laptop's Chrome.
I thought that I could now control my TV with the Android tablet. I don't see how.
Thanks again.
