I can't support a game where CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) is so high risk.

CTE is a degenerative disease that’s similar in ways to Alzheimer's disease, but also different from other brain diseases in that it's neither a brain injury nor cumulative.

"The thing with CTE that’s different with Alzheimer's and other degenerative diseases is that we know the thing that gets it started -- exposure to repetitive head impacts," according to Robert Stern, Boston University's Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy Center.

"CTE is a brain disease that gets started early in life."

"Early in life" — that's college, high school, probably even pee wee football.

I've felt this way since CTE started making the headlines.

NFL/franchise greed has taken it's toll on me too.

It'll be difficult, I imagine, especially next September. Which is why I say I am going to try.
