Nine games (well, 10 for NYG) and you still have 2 teams with no losses, 4 other teams with a combined 7 losses means just a few teams have a total of 47 wins out of 145. So, 6 out of 32 teams (18.75%) have won 32.4% of the games. There has to either be a whole slew of teams with 0, 1, or 2 wins (no zeroes, no ones) or there has be a boatload of teams with records of 500 or less.

Seems unusual because there are 6 teams with awfully good records and nobody winless or one win at this point. Not sure that happens too often.

Then a big drop-off...can't blame the team's salaries like you can in baseball, though.

There's a huge difference between teams with elite QBs and everyone else.

And there's just not enough elite QBs to go around.

Giants didn't have a huge payroll until the last couple years and they were winning every other year. Royals aren't a big market team and have a pretty controlled payroll. Dodgers spent like mad and did nothing. DC spent tons and did nothing.

Seems more like good design is the issue and that seems to work whether there is a salary constraint or not.

Throw in with the Giants the Red Sox and St. Louis and the others...seems like it is usually a top 10 team in terms of payroll.

They're usually not in the top echelon because they're always bringing someone up from the farm system at one or two positions that are killer. They let Pujols go over money.

And the Royals were in the WS last year too. And with the young pitching, the Mets don't have a huge payroll even though they're big market.

You seem to be cherry picking facts to support your opinion, Joey.

Look at the teams that make the playoffs, Dodgers, Satan, St. Louis, Cubs, Pirates, Texas...
