Nationals hire Dusty Baker as manager

"We were looking for a manager to help us achieve our ultimate goal of competing for a World Series championship," owner Ted Lerner said in a statement. "During our broad search process we met with many qualified candidates, and ultimately it was clear that Dusty's deep experience was the best fit for our ballclub."

This is likely Baker's last shot at winning a title. Now, can and will the team resign Zimmermann and/or Fister?

He is gonna be a rich young man very soon. Watching the playoffs--all the losing teams were short a pitcher and Z-mann would fill that bill. Cubs, Dodgers, Toronto---list goes on and on.
