When your once great team gets it's worse ass whooping ever---and I mean ever---no seriously---ever... the smack talk is well deserved.
If Cboy4 were to reincarnate and start smacking me, I'd roll over and take it. If his sock-puppet Upton were to return and ha ha at me, I'd roll over and take it. Yeah that's how bad it is.
Miami football fans for the last decade have lived in Bizarro world. I grew up with great football teams, 70's 80's 90's---and great coaches---Shula--JJ, Schnellenberger, Butch Davis, (Yeah Butch---possibly one of the greatest recruiters ever in college football)...
But since then I've lost count of the absolute horrible coaches that have passed our way. Two coaches began the slide to mediocrity---
DAVE WANNSTEDT and LARRY COKER.
Bad coaching, bad recruiting, bad drafting---and bang...mediocrity on steroids.
The only plus side in all this does not benefit me one bit. It benefits my wife---because now she gets me back on Saturdays and Sundays.
So go ahead--bring it....you can't hurt this beaten dog much more.

(4,357 posts)It isn't right when Miami isn't good. College football isn't the same without a good Hurricane team.

"The Miami Hurricanes have fired head coach Al Golden, the school announced Sunday.
The firing comes one day after the worst loss in program history, a 580 defeat at the hands of Clemson. Miami is currently 43, and 12 in the ACC."

(32,106 posts)because the Packers at that point were so bad we lost to Tampa Bay over and over ...
When you are born in Wisconsin you are a Packer fan - but some times they are much easier to watch than others. We had those 2 winning seasons back in the 60s and then it was nothing until Brett Favre came along.
