The Washington Redskins' Robert Griffin III believes he is the best quarterback in the NFL, the 25-year-old said in an interview with ABC on Sunday.
I feel like Im the best quarterback in the league and I have to go out and show that, Griffin said. Any athlete at any level, if they concede to someone else, theyre not a top competitor, theyre not trying to be the best that they can be. Theres guys in this league that have done way more than me. But, I still view myself as the best because thats what I work toward every single day.
In nine games with the Redskins in 2014, Griffin threw for six interceptions and had nine fumbles, while scoring just four touchdowns. Washington finished 2014 in last place in the NFC East, with a record of 412.
From his basic performance, just critiquing Robert, it was not even close to being good enough to what we expect from that quarterback position, Gruden said then.
Griffin is now battling Kirk Cousins for the starting spot in the season opener Sept. 13 against the Miami Dolphins.

(10,650 posts)Griffin still hasn't learned how to talk about himself. He sounds like a clueless blowhard.
Any football professional would rank him in the bottom 10 starting QBs in the NFL.

(65,079 posts). . .if Jay Cutler played like Brady, Rodgers, or Manning, he'd still be considered the worst. So, he's got that going for him too.
