The Cubs aren't on WGNA anymore!

I've been looking all over the place and it appears WGNA is not the same as WGN. WGN and Comcast Sports Network are carrying the Cubs and White Sox locally but not nationally on cable WGNA.

Now that really sux!

I guess that the MLB network and its pay per view channels have forced everyone else but ESPN and FS1 out of the national market.

The Cubs have been on cable in Denver for about 34 years. Even before I got cable at home, I used to eat lunch downtown at Duffy's (now also gone) and watch the Cubs at the bar.

Because of WGN, the Cubs were Denver's favorite team until the Rockies arrived in 1993.

I am really upset!

Then again, no more Ken "The Hawk" Harrelson.

To the highest bidder. That means no more freeloaders. Can't just put games up all willy-nilly when we can make a buck or two off of them now can we. After all they have a hundred year old stadium renovation to pay for.

Revenues will rise. The investment will turn out to be positive. The Ricketts family keeps the team.
