Snoop Dogg says Seahawks star Marshawn Lynch doesn’t smoke weed

But but all his detractors say he's a thug.

Not that we’re saying we’re surprised … but rapper and famed stoner Snoop Dogg says that, despite having a strain of marijuana named after him, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch does not smoke weed.

Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, recently brushed off a TMZ cameraman (see video below) who asked whether Lynch tokes. The Seahawks star is buddies with Broadus, who is well known as a cannabis aficionado.

But Broadus was familiar with the fact Lynch has a strain of marijuana named after him. As seattlepi.com reported in January, a Seattle pot business followed up its popular “Beast Mode O.G.” strain from last year with a new “Beast Mode 2.0? — aka “Beast Mode Blue Fire” — variety for the Super Bowl XLIX run this past winter.

“My homeboy got a career to play,” Broadus told TMZ. “He’s still in the NFL. He’s got a commissioner to deal with. Somebody named it after him.”

When I was in Washington I seen ecstasy with the 1-5 logo and also seen one with the Seahawks logo. In Washington, the slang term was "skittles". I always think of that when Marshawn Lynch takes "skittles" before the game.

Granted there's no legitimate reason for pot to be on the list of banned substances in the NFL, but having his friend say Lynch doesn't smoke pot isn't proof. As noted, the NFL looks poorly upon players getting high.

Besides, if he's a Seahawk, he'd probably just claim Adderall like so many of his teammates. Not that the NFL announces what PED players get busted for which is why so many claim Adderall, or like Robert Mathis of Indianapolis who claimed he was on fertility treatments to have kids, even though he and his wife already had twins.

Or forget the presumption of innocence in our country.

Adderall? A drug given to kids with ADD? I think that has quite the opposite affect of marijuana.

Mixed-Amphetamines such as Adderall quite clearly show up as Amphetamines. There are a lot of positive drug tests for fertility drugs because a lot of them are listed as banned substances as a masking agent during a steroid regimen.

If he tests positive for THC, he wouldn't announce "Adderall" because PED violations are stiffer than recreational drugs.
