After Michael Sam came out, Dale Hansen gave a commentary responding to NFL executives who claimed Michael Sam's draft stock had been damaged by his announcement that he was gay. In that commentary Hansen said, "You beat a woman and drag her down a flight of stairs, pulling her hair out by the roots, you're the fourth guy picked."
