2015 Horse Racing - 2015 San Antonio Stakes

Yesterday they ran the San Antonio at Santa Anita. Hyped as a huge race pitting HOTY California Chrome against Jim Rome's Shared Belief and BC Classic winner Bayern. Baffert pulled Bayern from consideration earlier and substituted stablemate, Hoppertunity, an improving horse, in the race. Shared Belief ran a big one and in my opinion so did Chrome. Chrome made the pace with SB on his outside and had a lead in the stretch, although, Chrome never switched leads. Mike Smith went to the whip with SB and he seemed to find another gear. What a great win by Shared Belief and what a great day for racing. This is what it is supposed to be about.
