Very good bowl games today....

Trouble is I don't like any of the teams except for VT.

Military Bowl - Virginia Tech 33 Cincinnati 17 Final

Sun Bowl - (15) Arizona St. 36 Duke 31 Final (the Sun Bowl always has good games)

Independence Bowl - South Carolina 24 Miami (FL) 21 Final

Pinstripe Bowl - Boston Coll 21 Penn St. 21 4th

Holiday Bowl - (24) USC vs. Nebraska 8:00 PM EST (I really hate these two teams but love this bowl)

Behind the Rose bowl. As old as the Orange and Sugar in 1935.

1944 Southwestern v. New Mexico, 7–0.
1945 Southwestern v. National University of Mexico 35-0.

The second game is the only bowl game where a university not from the United States participated. Southwestern became a formidable football power because of its sponsorship of a V-12 Navy College Training Program, which was gained through the actions of Lyndon B. Johnson. The Navy program gave it a pool of experienced and skilled players, which was a competitive advantage over other teams that fielded men too young or physically unfit for military service. In 1943, Southwestern's team boasted seven former starters from Texas and varsity players formerly from Baylor and climbed up to #11 in the AP poll. The following year they topped out at #4.
