Joe Panik shared a story on KNBR tonight how he learned to hit a home run off a cutter by watching video of Bill Mueller hitting a walk-off home run off Mariano Rivera from a game in 2004. He credits that for his big hit tonight!

What a series! Really could have gone either way.

Did you see Mike Matheny tip his hat to Bruce Bochy afterwards? What a class act. All the Cardinals. Great team. Great series.

He and Lon Simmons were the dynamic Giants voice all through my childhood; I spent many hours listening to Giants games on a super slick AM transistor radio.

Twelve years after Russ Hodges delivered those iconic words, I delivered the afternoon paper to his house in Mill Valley.

Bonds reminded Morse to keep his front foot down.

Morse also had Giants' minor-league instructor Jose Alguacil, called up late in the season to throw batting practice, to emulate Cardinals' reliever Pat Neshek’s funky sidewinder delivery. Morse anticipated Neshek replacing starter Adam Wainwright sometime in the game!
