Browns Overhaul Front Office; New GM and CEO

Owner Jimmy Haslam announced Tuesday that CEO Joe Banner will step down in the next two months and general manager Michael Lombardi is leaving the team.

It's yet another stunning development for a franchise that has undergone nearly constant change in the past 15 years.

Haslam also said assistant GM Ray Farmer, who was pursued by Miami to be the Dolphins' GM this winter, has been promoted and will immediately take the over the team's football operations and lead the Browns during free agency and draft. Cleveland has two first-round picks in May's draft and is well under the salary cap to spend on free agents.

Since 1999, no other team has made more picks (six overall) from the top four spots of the draft. That doesn't include 2014 where the Browns first pick is … fourth.

Buh-bye Banbardi. Joe Banner was nothing but the biggest prick in the NFL, hated by everyone far and wide. Mike Lombardi's reputation was well-earned: a devious, back-stabbing, egomaniac with a terrible track record identifying talent. Head Coach candidates either declined interviews or withdrew their names rather than work with this pair of rat bastards. Hats off to the Truck Stop Tycoon owner who pulled the carpet out from under these assclowns. Of course, he wouldn't believe his own eyes until he heard from the mouth of his good buddy Peyton Manning, Browns' next CEO in 2015.

He'll never be forgiven for the way he treated the great Brian Dawkins.
