1. I thought it was fine

with the circumstances that both teams state that don't like each other. Someone on the 49ers said that he doesn't know anyone here that likes the Seahawks and if you find one let him know. Sherman joked that there probably won't be handshakes after the game.

Crabtree apparently called him out prior, there's a lot of head games and trash talk that goes on, Sherman just didn't censor it for the media which I don't have a problem with. I like this line he says a lot right here

"He said something personal face-to-face," Sherman said. "He knows what he said, and he knows I'm going to be tough on him the rest of his career."

He is confident in his abilities so much so that he can't believe they even target him with receivers that aren't top level or #1. I can't imagine he'd say the same thing if it was Boldin. He seems to more honest than most other athletes when speaking to the media.

It's never very smart to tell an already aggravated o lineman who is much bigger than you, to go ahead and hit you. I find this incident hilarious, Sherman basically got what he asked for.. ( FYI Williams does not have a reputation as a hothead)

2. It Was Certainly A Unique Postgame Interview

But I didn't find it really offensive at all.

Edit: I am reminded of the 1972 NFC Championship, after which the Redskins' Diron Talbert said that Roger Staubach was "rusty" and "the wrong quarterback" to be starting the game. It was a jab and it bothered Staubach, so it basically worked.

I suspect that is the same kind of thing that Sherman was doing to Crabtree.

Sherman is an ass of epic proportions, which we already knew. But to me it’s still surprising. I covered a game for Comcast several years back at Stanford Stadium, and after the Cardinal won I talked to Sherman on the field. Up to that point and for a while afterward, he was probably the nicest, smartest, most engaging interview subject I had ever encountered.

Either he's now putting on an act or some kind of PED rage has kicked in..

Likely, yes. It's his game persona. At the interview later he was calm and cool. That's his non-game persona. Or are we pretending that you don't have to have a certain level of bravado in NFL football.

13. I don't mind when some of these guys are a little over the top right after or during a game.

I can't imagine the mindset involved in athletics at this level. What many of them have to do and think before and during a game to prepare for such athleticism and violence would probably shock many of us. Any given play in the NFL would send me to the hospital. Any given play in the NFL could end in a devastating hit or career ending play for a CB. Most of these guys do amazingly well staying centered during their interviews right after a game.

The taunting to Crabtree didn't bother me much. That does seem part of the game.

His going nuts on the sideline reporter was, while undestandable given that he had the emotions of making a game saving play a minute or so before, over the top.

If he wasn't ready to be interviewed he could have said "not just yet, i'll catch you in a few."
