Related: About this forumHarbaugh: "Beware of unnamed sources. They speak with forked tongue"
We've heard San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh deny rumors about the University of Texas coaching job before, but never quite like this.
"In Judge Judy's court, hearsay is not admissible evidence," Harbaugh said Thursday via CSN Bay Area. "I think we can all agree that an unnamed source is hearsay. I see unnamed sources related to many of these topics. And it's my point that an unnamed source is hearsay. And in the court of public opinion, why would you give any of that credibility?"
And later: "Beware of unnamed sources. They speak with forked tongue."
-----
Harbaugh insisted he "absolutely" wants to stay in San Francisco and downplayed the notion that he is at odds in any way with general manager Trent Baalke, who holds personnel control with the team.

This has to go down as another Harbaughism..
I don't see why he would want to go to Texas anyhow. A move back to college by an NFL coach as successful as Jim Harbaugh is almost unprecedented..

Well, if Harbaugh goes, there is always the option of picking up Shanahan or Garrett as your head

(9,709 posts)2. I know..but Harbaugh isn't going anywhere
There's talk of an extension this off season and his current $5 million salary is small compared to that of relatively equal or less successful coaches. Heck, Sean Payton makes $8 million, Pete Carroll and Mike Shanahan $7 million, Chip Kelley $6.5 million and so on.
There's also speculation he's looking for more control. Hence his denial he's having any personnel disagreements with GM Trent Baalke..
This is just all part of the process..

coach next year!
From what I hear from the East Coast Media, Shanny and Snider are in a death spiral. Shanny is doing his damndest to get fired, but Snider won't do it. Shanny and Snider may be stuck together for another year.
