Q: Hey Andrew, any news on Gaudin and Lopez?
Andrew Baggarly: No change. Still lots of mutual interest between Lopez and the Giants, and I still expect that he'll re-sign. He's looking at his options, which is the smart thing to do.

Upton
(9,709 posts)4. I think he'd prefer to remain in SF..
word is, he'll give the Giants the final opportunity to match any other offer he may receive. No matter where he ends up, Lopez is a real asset as a situational lefty. Check out his splits sometime.. The Nationals are smart in going after him.
