You F***ing Frisco Fans should be relieved that you didn't have to play in Denver.

Because the last two games would have been canceled due to snow and cold. The Sky Sox postponed their last two games in Colorado Springs.

SAN FRANCISCO — Even when the Rockies were good, they were bad in San Francisco. But in recent seasons, they have become a homecoming opponent.

Before a sun-lit crowd on an unseasonably warm 78-degree afternoon, the world champions embarrassed the Rockies, 10-0, completing a sweep with shades of history.

It was their ninth consecutive victory against Colorado at AT&T Park and ninth consecutive overall, the longest current winning streak for any team against a division rival, according to Elias Sport Bureau.

Prior to Wednesday's series finale, manager Walt Weiss said he wasn't "looking for any moral victories. We need a W."

Instead, the Rockies got brass knuckles to the teeth as the Giants won their 16th consecutive game started by Barry Zito, last done by the franchise in 1936 with Carl Hubbell.

I didn't know you had cicadas. That's a Texas thing. I used to find their exoskeletons on trees.

Kind of a soothing sound in the summer that helps you go to sleep at night.

We started to get them in Denver recently. I thought I was home!

Sure, but if they'd been playing in 10 degrees and 10 in. snow the Rockies would have won. Just like the US defeated Costa Rica in the World Cup blizzard in Denver a few weeks ago.
